and aim all the time at the destruction of our true
Kuomintang and the elimination of our loyal and pure Kuomintang members and our military comrades. Ostensibly they have advocated the raising of the authority of the Kuomintang and the centralization of all military power, but in reality the Kuomintang has long been deprived

An account of the attempts the Communists have made to prejudice our military movements would pain the hearts of you all. When our troops were mostly critically engaged in the field in Chekiang and Kiangsu, the Communists in Wuhan refused to send us any funds or any supplies of ammunition, but on the contrary created groundless and unreasonable rumours that we had reserved in Kiangsi 15,000,000 rounds of ammunition. were poured on us. We had made all arrangements to send out our troops to assist in the attack on Nanking and Shanghai, but this was stopped by the Communists in order that we might sustain a hopeless defeat, and they even went further and advised Chang Chung Chong to come to destroy us. lives
